luka's fat lip

he's better now, but here is luka from last saturday- he went skateboarding with alfredo and carlos and came home, trying his hardest to smile, but his lip was so fat and bloody, he couldn't really, but how my heart broke from his effort! this was the day after so it had gone down a bit. he had a long story about how great it was flying down the ramp, the part flying through the air, like superman, until he fell was the best time of his life. he later broke down and admitted he had really just been skating on his belly, and fell over a stick. it was a good story anyhow!

An enjoyable Saturday morning

hi everyone,
Just went out to a new outside market with Heather. It's at the old train station, a very nice location as long as the sewage treatment plant is digesting well. It's picturesque, with Boardman lake in the background and the Children's Garden between the station and the lake. It's not only produce but also jewelry, soaps, soups and crocheted items. Arts and Crafts.

Before that we went to Sue Bauer's yard sale of things she cleared out for clients; Heather bought some goggles for the kids and I bought some Arbonne items for $2 each as well as a make up mirror. Not that I wear make up, but maybe I can see better to nab those pesky little hairs.

After Market, we went to have coffee and tea downtown. On the way to the coffee shop we traveled down Union Street, where we had a close-up view of The Red Hat Society's parade- It was a blast! Red and purple ruled. Ladies crammed into convertibles, mini-vans with the doors open, women walking and waving and wearing butterfly-shaped rhinestone sunglasses and every imaginable feathered, beaded, flowered, gauzy, glittery red hat you'd ever want to see. All sorts of ensembles, from long flowy dresses to ladies-who-should-know-better in tight purple leggings. Everyone having a good time!

Then we sat outside to drink our drinks and chat. Thank you Heather for the invitation, I enjoyed it very much!

hi guys. i am just trying to figure out this blog-world, i'm sure it's just as alien to you, as it is to me. But i was thinking it might be a great way for us to stay in touch with each other. we can all upload photos, write a group message or news, and leave comments for each other. are any of you willing to try it out?
